Duo Beaux Arts was formed in 2008 by renowned husband and wife concert pianists Dr. Catherine Lan and Steinway Artist Tao Lin. The Duo presents over 100 concerts domestically and internationally each year performing in France, Switzerland, Spain, Netherlands, Estonia, Finland, China, and the US to both critical and audience acclaim. The Duo is also the founders of Beaux Arts Chamber Music Series in Naples, Florida, which invites pre-eminent chamber groups in the world to perform in a wonderfully intimate setting. Featured on Fox4 Morning Blend TV, Venice Magazine, Asia Trend Magazine, Parklander Magazine, World Journal, and Gulfshore Life Magazine, Catherine and Tao have collectively performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, National Gallery of Art, Kadriorg Palace, Temppeliaukio, Fitzwilliam Museum, and UNESCO Eufrazijeva Bazilika. As pedagogues, they have taught masterclasses across Asia, North America, and Europe. Dr. Greg Satterthwaite

Dr. Greg Satterthwaite, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, is a jazz pianist who earned his DMA from the University of North Texas in Jazz Piano Performance, a Master of Arts in Commercial Music from Florida Atlantic University, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Miami. He has studied with Stephen Scott, Ron Miller, Pat Coil, Quincy Davis, Brad Leali, Lynn Seaton, and Dave Meder. Dr. Satterthwaite has taught at Southeastern University as an Assistant Professor of Music. He will join the faculty at The University of Georgia in the fall as an Assistant Professor of Jazz Piano and African American Studies. As a scholarly contribution to the field of music, he presented “Beyond Fourths and Pentatonics: A Critical Analysis of Selected Recordings of McCoy Tyner 1962 to 1963” at the 2021 Jazz Education Network Conference. Dr. Satterthwaite’s debut album, Who I Am, is available on most major streaming platforms and he recently recorded with jazz bassist, Rodney Whitaker. He enjoys attending live music performances, drinking Blue Mountain coffee, and spending time with family.

Eunmi Ko

Hailed as “exceedingly interesting” (New York Concert Review), "kaleidoscopic"(San Francisco Classical Voice), “excellent” (Gramophone), pianist Eunmi Ko concertizes as a recitalist and chamber musician throughout Asia, Europe, and North America. Praised for original interpretations, abundances of piano technique, and interesting programming, she performs a wide range of piano repertoire from premieres of new works by living composers to the traditional and rarely played piano works.
As a sought-after collaborator and champion of new music, she works with dozens of contemporary composers, ensembles, and performers. Ko is co-founder and co-director of the new music ensemble Strings & Hammers, which has the unusual instrumentation of violin, piano, and double bass. Each year, Strings and Hammers collaborates with different composers for their project and gives several premieres nationally and internationally. Since 2015 she has been the resident artist for award-winning percussion ensemble McCormick Percussion Group (MPG) and collaborated with Director Robert McCormick.
Ko holds graduate degrees (MM and DMA) from the Eastman School of Music, and she is the Associate Professor at the University of South Florida.
Since 2017, Ko has collaborated with mezzo-soprano Thea Lobo for Indictus Project, an art song discovery project that archives work by marginalized composers.
